From field to New Branch Farms

          Wendy and Sam are not only wedding photographers, they also create and rent backdrops for their clients. The idea of New Branch Farms came about in a car ride on the way to shoot a wedding back in the winter of 2014. They were talking about how they really needed a space to set up a variety of backdrops where their clients could come and get unique and beautiful images in a large studio type building with lots of natural light, a place to get hair/makeup done and change outfits.  As Wendy was designing the building, she had an even bigger idea; Why don't we just build our own venue?  She sat down and designed a venue that checked off all the boxes needed to create beautiful images of a casual, relaxed wedding day. Then, the search for the perfect piece of property was next.  After a couple of years searching, they came across 23 acres of open farmland surrounded by trees and knew instantly it was the spot. Getting the property re-zoned took 6 months, then they took about 2 years to build their place of residence on the property and filled it with lots of critters to love on.

          In October 2020, New Branch Farms had their first wedding!  It was a beautiful fall tented wedding under a full moon and star-filled sky.  It was absolutely perfect.  Several more weddings/events followed and by February 2021 the building plans were formalized and submitted to the county for the official building permit.

 

          They are so excited to see their dream of owning the perfect Wedding and Event Venue finally come true.  Follow along with us on this journey from field to New Branch Farms...
